HGH Side Effects

Water Retention.

This is the most common side effect. When you start using Human Growth Hormone your body may retain water during first couple of days, especially if you are using more than 2iu daily.  This is the most common of HGH side effects. It will first be noticeable  in your hands, feet, and face. This is a good sign as it is a primary initial side effect and from which you can confirm the HGH is working.

How to avoid water retention

There are a couple things you can do to avoid water retention:

  • Reduce your daily salt consumption
  • Limit your alcohol consumption to 2 units or less daily.
  • Drink more water.
  • Drink natural diuretics such as coffee.
  • If you are using more than 2iu daily divide your daily injection am and pm.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Another common of HGH side effects is carpal tunnel syndrome. This is categorized by  pain and numbness in the wrist or fingers. It often subsides  after a few months of usage.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is caused by the compression of  nerves in your wrist. The median nerve travels the length of all four fingers. When it is compressed by increased water retention from the HGH it can result in numbness and/or pain. You may alleviate the symptoms by supplementing with vitamin B6 and a multivitamin.

Red welts at injection site

Red welts at the injection site are caused by using impure low quality Human Growth Hormone. This can easily be avoided by making sure you purchase high quality pharmaceutical grade Human Growth Hormone

Insulin Resistance

Hair loss

Human Growth Hormone does not affect testosterone and therefore cannot promote hair loss. HGH promotes collagen synthesis which aids in stronger and healthier hair.

HGH sides effects do not include hair loss.

  • Before starting on HGH a blood sugar test should be taken. This is important to gauge if you area at a possible risk of developing Diabetes. ( A fasting blood sugar reading of above 100 indicating pre-diabetes )
  • Include Metformin into your cycle when using HGH if using more than 3iu daily.. Metformin is a first line diabetes medicine with few side effects that will stop your body developing Insulin resistence. When using more than 5IU daily IU daily of HGH, you may need to consider incorporating insulin into your protocal.
  • Do not take HGH for longer in dose higher than 31iu daily for more than 3-4 months.

HGH and cancer

The most common HGH side effect discussed is the possibility of cancer, tumor occurrence, tumor development, and tumor recurrence.

  • HGH cannot cause cancer as it cannot cause cell abnormalities.
  • It is possible that HGH can  accelerate the growth or development of an  already existing tumor due to raised IGF-1 levels.
  • There is no evidence that HGH can cause a tumor to re-occur.

Suppression of endogenous ( naturally produced ) HGH

Scientists have not been able to find a connection with injecting HGH and the suppression of endogenous HGH. Injecting HGH does suppress natural levels, however they return to normal after just 24  hours from last injection.

HGH gut

In bodybuilding, you can often see competitors that seem to have huge extended lean bellies. High dosed of HGH may very well be the cause. However there has never been any concrete evidence of HGH causing this side effect. However no studies have been done to prove otherwise so the jury is out on this one.

The use of HGH increases your blood sugar levels. This in turn effects your insulin levels. HGH burns your fat and transfers it into energy, but blood sugar levels remain high. Having high blood sugar levels increase your insulin resistance  and raises the risk of Diabetes. Although this  is one of the more serious HGH side effects it is much more common in doses higher than 2iu daily.
